Margot Robbie

     Margot Robbie is an Australian actress born in Dalby, Queensland, and raised on the Gold Coast, spending much of her time at the farm belonging to her grandparents. Her mother, Sarie Kessler, is a physiotherapist. Robbie attended and graduated from Somerset College. In her late teens, she moved to Melbourne to pursue an acting career.

     Her first break came when she appeared in two films directed by Aash Aaron - Vigilante (2008) and I.C.U. (2009). In 2008, she began appearing as "Donna Freeman" in the soap opera, Neighbours (1985). The role and performance was popular and Robbie was nominated for several Logie Awards. She left the show in 2010 and set off to pursue Hollywood opportunities, quickly landing the role of "Laura Cameron" in the ABC drama, Pan Am (2011).

     In January 2014, it was confirmed that Robbie will star as Jane Porter in David Yates's Tarzan opposite Alexander Skarsgård, Samuel L. Jackson and Christoph Waltz, scheduled for release on 1 July 2016. On 16 October 2014, she was approached by Warner Bros. for the upcoming 2016 DC Comics supervillain film Suicide Squad. On October 22 2014, Robbie joined Tina Fey in the film adaptation of The Taliban Shuffle. She will play Tanya, a competing reporter alongside Fey's character. The film will also star Martin Freeman and Alfred Molina. On February 11 2015, Paramount Pictures confirmed that principal photography had commenced on the film in New Mexico. Robbie has been confirmed to star in the film adaptation of Marisa Lankester's memoir Dangerous Odds, and Matthew Michael Carnahan's Violent Talent.
